Launched in 2019, Muse by Xerjoff is a Chypre Fruity fragrance for women and men, created by perfumer Emilie Bouge. The composition opens with the sweet, tart notes of plum and raspberry, balanced by the rich warmth of white flowers and jasmine. As it settles, leather and labdanum add an animalic depth to the base, while patchouli brings a grounding earthiness. This fragrance is a study in contrasts — fruity sweetness meets the richness of amber and musk, creating an intriguing tension that makes Muse both captivating and complex.

Émilie Bouge was born near Grasse into a family of perfume creators tracing back to an ancestor who founded the 19th-century company Bruno Court. Trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, she began her career at LMR, then moved to Charabot (later acquired by Robertet), helping set up its Indonesian laboratory, and has collaborated with Creed, Trudon, Acqua di Parma, and Xerjoff. In 2010 she and her sister Marie-Eugène launched the niche brand Brecourt; in 2019 she launched her own brand, Bouge; and in April 2025 she joined Takasago as Senior Perfumer in Paris.
