Launched in 2023 and crafted by Mackenzie Reilly, Mycelium in Chestnut by Scents of Wood is a Woody fragrance for both women and men. The composition opens with a bright citrus accord that cuts through the earthy richness of mycelium and chestnuts, creating an intriguing tension between freshness and depth. This contrast is further enhanced by the sweet, nutty heart notes, which are balanced by a powdery, mossy base that adds warmth and complexity.

Mackenzie Reilly, born and raised in New York, studied the anthropology of scent in college before working at the luxury publishing house Assouline. She joined IFF in 2010 as assistant to the Director of the New York Creative Center and was admitted to the IFF Perfumer School in 2013, going on to work as a fine fragrance perfumer at IFF in New York.
