Launched in 1988 by Aramis, New West for Him was created by perfumer Harry Fremont as a bold statement in the men's fragrance market. The composition opens with sea notes and mint, creating an initial impression of freshness and crispness. This is soon complemented by aldehydes and bergamot, which lend a bright, invigorating quality to the scent. As it develops, the woody base of cedar, oakmoss, leather, sandalwood, patchouli, musk, and amber provides warmth and depth, grounding the fresh top notes in a rich, earthy foundation.
