Launched in 2018 by Ranger Station, Oakmoss is a woody aromatic fougère that blends crisp bergamot and sage with the earthy richness of moss and cedar. Steve Soderholm crafted this scent to evoke the essence of a forest floor after rain, where the freshness of pine needles mingles with the deep, grounding notes of oakmoss and red amber. The violet adds an unexpected floral touch, softening the rugged edges without losing its masculine edge. This composition is a modern take on traditional fougère, reimagined for contemporary wear.

Steve Soderholm, who grew up in northern Minnesota surrounded by pine, musk, and leather scents, was a professional touring drummer before settling in Nashville with his wife Jordan, whom he met at Belmont University. After running out of candles one day, he began making his own, discovering a passion for 'olfactory storytelling' that led the couple to found the fragrance and candle studio Ranger Station in 2015.
