The Story

Opal by Boadicea the Victorious, launched in 2025 and crafted by perfumer Julie Lerendu, is a complex blend of warm spices, woody notes, and metallic accents that evoke both sophistication and intrigue. The fragrance opens with a bold interplay between coffee and black pepper, grounding the composition with an earthy warmth. As it evolves, bay leaf and saffron add a subtle herbal complexity, while orris and suede introduce a powdery, almost leathery depth. Julie Lerendu's skillful blending creates a scent that is both contemporary and lasting, fitting for Boadicea the Victorious' commitment to quintessentially British elegance.

Application Tips

Opal has strong sillage and long-lasting qualities, so one or two sprays are sufficient to make an impression. The fragrance takes about an hour for its full character to develop, so it's best applied in the morning for all-day presence.
