Launched in 2013 by Amouage and crafted by perfumers Alberto Morillas and Pierre Negrin, Opus VII – Reckless Leather is a bold composition that balances fresh spice with warm, animalic undertones. The fragrance opens with the green freshness of fenugreek and galbanum, before cardamom and pink pepper bring a sharp, spicy edge. At its heart lies leather, complemented by agarwood (oud), ambergris, and ambroxan for an earthy, smoky warmth. Patchouli and sandalwood anchor the base with deep musk and woody notes, creating a scent that is both daring and sophisticated.
