Ouranon by Aesop was launched in 2023 and is crafted by perfumer Barnabé Fillion. This Oriental Woody fragrance for unisex wear opens with a fresh spicy note of elemi, followed by the herbal and green nuances of lavender and petitgrain. The heart unfolds with hay and chamomile, adding an earthy warmth that transitions into the balsamic richness of myrrh and patchouli. Frankincense brings a touch of incense-like depth to the base, where tonka bean adds a sweet and woody finish. Ouranon captures the essence of Aesop’s Australian heritage with its blend of crisp freshness and warm earthiness.

Barnabé Fillion trained in photography before pursuing a thesis on synesthesia and studying naturopathy, phytotherapy, and aromatherapy. He worked as Aesop's in-house perfumer for a decade, creating all of the brand's fragrances and its first candles, including the reimagined Marrakech Intense Eau de Toilette. His 'Biography' series with artist Anicka Yi reconstructed the imagined scent-personalities of historical figures, and he later founded Arpa, a multi-platform project combining scent, music, and architecture.
