Percival by Parfums de Marly was launched in 2018 and crafted by perfumer Hamid Merati-Kashani. This fragrance has become a subject of much discussion among enthusiasts, often compared to BDC Parfum’s pineapple-forward scent but reworked with mandarin instead of pineapple and less soapiness. Percival opens with bright citrus notes like mandarin orange and bergamot, which are balanced by the aromatic freshness of lavender and pink pepper. The heart introduces floral nuances from geranium, hedione, violet, and jasmine, while the base delivers warmth from coriander, cinnamon, cardamom, amberwood, musk, balsam fir, clearwood, and tonka. Despite its distinctive character, it has faced criticism in niche communities for being an overpriced take on widely available citrus-woody accords.

Application Tips
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points. The citrus opening is bright but fades within an hour, so the floral and woody base will carry most of the scent throughout the day. It's best suited for daytime wear when you want a fresh yet warm presence.
