Launched in 2016 by Dior, Poison Girl was created by François Demachy as a sweeter, gourmand take on the iconic Poison lineage. This fragrance opens with bright citrus notes like bitter orange and lemon, which give way to the warm sweetness of vanilla, almond, and tonka bean. The composition is built around an orange-caramel-almond accord that sets it apart from its more floral predecessors. While its marketing campaign aimed to capture a youthful edge, some critics found it an awkward attempt by an older brand trying to appear edgy.
