Launched in 2015 and crafted by perfumers Cecile Hua and Irina Burlakova, Ralph Fresh by Ralph Lauren is a Floral Fruity fragrance that balances the brightness of citrus with the softness of florals. The opening notes of lemon and watermelon give way to the floral heart of magnolia, freesia, and rose, before settling into musk and woody undertones. Cécile Hua, born in Marseille of French and Vietnamese heritage, knew by age 7 she wanted to be a perfumer, following an olfactive dream involving the smell of blue ink. She earned a Master's in Chemistry, graduated first in her class from the invitation-only Givaudan Perfumery School in Grasse, then worked as a Junior Perfumer for Givaudan from 1996-2003 before joining Mane USA, becoming the first recipient of the Fashion Group International 'Rising Star Award' for Fragrance Design in 2003.
