Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Oud Assam by Rania J was launched in 2013 and is a striking Oriental Woody fragrance for both women and men, crafted by perfumer Rania Jouaneh. The composition opens with the brightness of bitter orange, sweet orange, and bergamot before unfolding into the rich depths of Indian oud, vetiver, and olibanum. This contrast between fresh citrus and deep earthy notes creates a complex and intriguing aroma that is both warm and spicy.
One to two sprays on pulse points is enough — the citrus notes are bright but fleeting, giving way to a warm and complex base that lingers. This fragrance reads better in cooler settings or during evening hours when its woody and spicy tones can fully unfold.
