Launched in 2021 by Nomenclature and crafted by Frank Voelkl, red-wood is a composition that dances between freshness and warmth. The opening notes of eucalyptus and juniper bring a crisp, aromatic clarity, while star anise and pimento seeds add a spicy kick that grounds the fragrance in its earthy identity. Cyclamen and lily-of-the-valley soften the edges with delicate florals, but it's the rich patchouli, cedar, and suede notes that anchor red-wood in a warm, woody embrace.

Application Tips
Red-wood is best applied in a moderate amount — one or two sprays to capture both its fresh opening and its woody base. The spicy accords are potent and will project well, so avoid layering with other strong fragrances. It pairs especially well with the cooler temperatures of late afternoon into early evening.

The hiss of an espresso machine two seconds before the cup arrives, where the sharpness of eucalyptus blends with the warm embrace of suede and cedar.
