Rose Noir by Byredo, launched in 2008 and created by perfumer Jérôme Epinette, is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance that encapsulates the essence of an enigmatic rose. The composition begins with fresh citrus notes like grapefruit and red berries, which contrast sharply against the earthy tones of moss and patchouli. As it develops, damask rose takes center stage, supported by floral heart notes such as freesia and jasmine, before settling into a musky base that lends an air of mystery.
