The Story

Rose of Venus by Ikiryo was launched in 2021, crafted by Vincent of Dreamhouse. This Oriental Floral fragrance is a captivating blend that marries the delicate elegance of rose with smoky and balsamic notes for an intriguing depth. The opening rose is softened by caramel sweetness, while warm spices and amber add a sensual warmth that lingers on skin. It's a composition that feels both familiar and mysterious, as if you're stepping into a secret garden where the air is heavy with scent.

Application Tips

Apply Rose of Venus lightly — its smoky and balsamic notes build up quickly on skin. This fragrance blooms best close to the body rather than across a room, so a few small spritzes at pulse points will keep it intimate and evocative.

Vincent of Dreamhouse portrait

Vincent of Dreamhouse founded the independent perfume house Ikiryō, based in Oakland, California, drawing on his background as a designer, costume maker, embroiderer, and storyteller; the name Ikiryō comes from a Japanese word for the ghost of a living person. The brand ceased regular operation in 2020, with Vincent shifting toward bespoke, custom fragrances, though new releases such as Perseus (2024) have continued to appear under his name.
