Rôses Berberanza by Lancôme was launched in 2017 and crafted by perfumer Julien Rasquinet. This fragrance embodies the French art of blending, much like composing a superior grade wine (Grand cru). The composition opens with tangerine and green notes before transitioning into a heart of damask rose, pistachio, raspberry, and ginger. The base notes are rich and warm, featuring hazelnut, honey, rum, vanilla, woody notes, benzoin, saffron, violet, and cedar. This intricate blend creates a harmonious balance between fruity freshness and sweet, nutty warmth.

Application Tips
Apply Rôses Berberanza in layers for maximum impact. The tangerine top notes are bright but fleeting, so follow up with additional sprays after an hour to maintain its fruity freshness. This fragrance is best worn close to the skin; it reads better as a personal scent rather than one that fills the room.

Julien Rasquinet’s life took a decisive turn when his father met nose extraordinaire Pierre Bourdon, by accident in an airport. Rasquinet who didn’t know anything about perfumery beyond his own passion for it, called Bourdon, who decided to take him instead of thousands of other candidates to be his last student, and bare his legacy, as Edmond Roudnitska had done with him. Call it perfumer’s intuition.

The story behind the bottle.
The hiss of an espresso machine two seconds before the cup arrives, where the scent of warm hazelnut and honey mingles with a hint of rum.
