Russian Oud by Areej Le Doré, launched in 2018 and crafted by Russian Adam, is a gourmand oud perfume that marries high-quality agarwood oil with a distinctive twist. The fragrance opens with the bold, raw nature of traditionally distilled Thai oud, which caramelizes into an intense and psychoactive olfactory experience. As it develops, rich cocoa extract from Indonesia and chocolaty Indian oud sweeten the composition, while castoreum adds a dirty leather aroma and natural musk lends an animalic shadow. The base notes of guggul resin, birch tar, sandalwood, myrrh, and labdanum create a warm, woody, and ambery scent that lingers for hours.

Russian Oud is best applied generously to ensure the full depth of its notes unfolds. The cocoa and oud top notes are immediate but fade within an hour; however, the musky and woody base notes will continue to develop throughout the day.
