“Santa Sangre by Bortnikoff is a fragrance for women and men”
The Quick Read
Warmly received so far — a balsamic, vanilla composition with a woody undertone. Voted best for spring and fall wear — and genuinely unisex.

Santa Sangre by Bortnikoff, launched in 2021 and created by Dmitry Bortnikoff and Rajesh Balkrishnan, is an intricate composition that marries balsamic warmth with floral and spicy accents. The fragrance opens with the bright zest of pink grapefruit, which contrasts beautifully against the rich vanilla flower and jasmine sambac notes. As it settles, dragon blood resin adds a warm, almost incense-like quality, while sandalwood and siam benzoin create a powdery, amber base that lingers softly on the skin.

Application Tips
Santa Sangre has moderate longevity and sillage. Apply two sprays to capture the full depth of its notes — the citrus opening is bright but fades into the heart within an hour. The base notes develop gradually, so it's best worn close to skin for a more personal experience.
