Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier is a bold, provocative fragrance that was launched in 2017. Created by perfumers Daphné Bugey, Fabrice Pellegrin, and Christophe Raynaud, it's built around an unusual honey-gardenia-patchouli gourmand accord. The bottle features a distinctive golden leg stopper, which adds to its provocative nature. Scandal’s campaign tells the fictional story of model Vanessa Axente living a double life as a government minister by day and a 'scandalous' figure by night, blending sex-and-politics imagery into its narrative.
The scent itself opens with bright blood orange and mandarin, quickly giving way to honey and caramel that create an intriguing sweetness.
