Launched in 2025, Shalimar L'Essence by Guerlain is an Oriental fragrance crafted by perfumer Delphine Jelk. It opens with the bright zest of bergamot and almond, quickly giving way to a heart of iris, rose, and opoponax, which adds depth and warmth. The base notes of Madagascar vanilla, musk, benzoin, tonka bean, and leather create an enveloping cocoon of sweetness and richness. This composition is a nod to Guerlain's tradition of using luxurious and rare materials while also embracing the innovative use of synthetic components.
