Launched in 2009, Shingl by Xerjoff is an Oriental fragrance that embodies the brand's commitment to using the finest ingredients. Created by perfumer Christian Rostain, this composition opens with a fresh aromatic blend of bergamot and basil before diving into deeper notes of iris and rum, which add warmth and depth. Christian Rostain, born in 1953 in Fréjus, began his career in 1974 as a perfumer's apprentice at the Robertet Group in Grasse, training for six years under senior perfumer Louis Truc, then continuing under Henri Romano. In 1980 he became a junior perfumer under Georges Pellegrin, later helping develop the company's presence in South America, Central America, and the USA.
