The Quick Read
Well loved by wearers — a woody, sandalwood composition with a creamy undertone. Voted best for year-round wear — and genuinely unisex.

Launched in 2003 by Diptyque and crafted by perfumer Daniel Moliere, Tam Dao is an EDT that captures the essence of a serene temple experience. The fragrance begins with the fresh snap of Italian cypress and myrtle, leading into a creamy sandalwood heart layered with rose petals. As it evolves, spiced amber and Brazilian rosewood create an intimate warmth, culminating in a soft musky embrace. Tam Dao is both ethereal and grounding, making it feel like a second skin throughout the day.

Application Tips
Two sprays are sufficient for this moderate longevity and sillage fragrance. It develops best close to skin rather than filling a room, so aim for pulse points for a more intimate experience.

The story behind the bottle.
The quiet afternoon when you step into an ancient cedarwood temple, where the light filters through heavy curtains and the air is filled with the scent of aged wood and soft spices.
