White tea opens things coolly, but tuberose is really what runs this one — a fleshy, slightly narcotic white flower that keeps peach and frangipani from turning into simple fruit candy. It's a warm floral built on that tension: green tea restraint up top, tropical bloom in the middle, then a soft landing of sandalwood, vanilla and ambroxan that reads more skin-warm than sweet. Frangipani gives it a tropical lift without pushing it into full vacation territory, and the jasmine underneath keeps the whole thing from feeling one-note.

Application Tips
The tuberose and frangipani heart is the loudest part of this one, so a single spray at the collarbone lets it bloom outward rather than overwhelm. Base notes of sandalwood and musk settle in within the hour and carry it quietly for the rest of the day.

David Apel is a perfumer born in New Jersey who studied environmental chemistry before an offer from Givaudan drew him into fragrance, starting in the gas chromatography lab analyzing products already on the market. He joined the American Society of Perfumers' apprenticeship program in 1990, and as a junior perfumer was sent to work alongside leading European perfumers in Paris, where he drew strength from his outsider perspective. Drawing on the landscapes of his native New England, he created signature formulations and bases that advanced his career, eventually joining Symrise, where he continues to work.
