Daphné Bugey built this one back in 2006 around an odd pairing — coffee and heliotrope — that still feels unexpected today. The coffee note is bitter and roasted rather than sweetened into a dessert, while heliotrope and freesia soften it with a powdery, almond-like warmth. Passion flower and pink pepper give the opening a faint fruity snap, but it's that coffee-powder combination in the heart that defines the whole thing, landing somewhere between a café counter and a powder room.

Amber
Amber is an olfactory illusion, conjured from labdanum, benzoin, vanilla, and other resins to evoke the sun-soaked warmth of the Mediterranean coast. Its scent is both earthy and sweet, with a powdery undertone that mimics the richness of ancient incense.

Application Tips
The coffee note is concentrated and can read strong up close, so start with a single spray and let it settle before adding more. It softens considerably after the first twenty minutes as heliotrope and amber take over, so judge it on the dry-down rather than the opening.
