Launched in 2022 by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, Van Py Rhum is a unisex fragrance that weaves together the warmth of vanilla and the depth of rum with woody undertones. The composition opens with an ensemble of vanillas — Bourbon, Madagascar, and Tahitian — creating a rich, layered sweetness that evokes memories of homemade desserts. As it settles, rum and caramel add a boozy richness, while tonka bean and black vanilla husk provide earthy warmth. Patchouli and agarwood (oud) ground the scent with woody spiciness, ensuring the fragrance remains complex and engaging throughout the day.

Lorenzo Pazzaglia grew up in Cagli on Italy's Adriatic coast, where his family ran a restaurant, and began creating scents as an amateur inspired by his father's kitchen. He founded PAX s.r.l. in 2021 and released his first fragrances under the PAX by Lorenzo Pazzaglia brand, later named 'Rising Star Perfumer 2024' at the ScentXplore Awards.
