Zagal by Otz Lab is a richly layered Oriental Spicy fragrance that was launched in 2026 and crafted by perfumer Gaël Montero. It opens with fruity and sweet notes, providing an initial burst of warmth and brightness. This freshness gives way to a heart of vanilla, which adds depth and comfort. Of French-Spanish heritage and raised in Madrid, Gaël Montero studied perfumery at Montpellier University and was mentored by perfumer Jordi Fernandez in Barcelona. After working as a Perfumer Assistant at Procter & Gamble, he joined Givaudan's Perfumery School in Paris, rising from lab assistant to junior perfumer, and now works as a perfumer for Memo Paris, based in Dubai.
