Alexis Grugeon is a perfumer who grew up in Beauvais, in northern France, and traces his calling to a childhood visit to the Perfume Museum in Grasse at age nine.
He trained at ISIPCA in Versailles, worked as a perfumer's assistant in several Grasse fragrance houses, and joined Firmenich in 2007. Since then he has created fragrances for brands including Amouage, Angel Schlesser, Avon, Cacharel, Emanuel Ungaro, and Lancôme, with a particular interest in new textures and unexpected contrasts. An avid triathlete outside the lab, he has competed in events including the New York Marathon.
