Bree Hyland
Bree Hyland, a visual artist with a BFA from NSCAD University in Halifax, founded the artisanal perfume line Barre in 2015 from her studio in the rural seaside village of Scots Bay, Nova Scotia. Unable to find a scent that resonated with her growing up, she wore men's cologne before beginning to blend her own, now also creating oil paintings and a jewelry line, RoseBlood, with collaborator Sarah Sears.
