Christophe's story
The story
After winning the French National Chemistry Olympiads in 1986 and earning a Master's in Chemistry from the European Higher Institute of Chemistry in Strasbourg, he began a PhD at MIT before becoming a teaching assistant in Chemistry at Harvard. He trained at the Procter & Gamble Creative Perfumery School beginning in 1994, was promoted to Senior Perfumer, and in 2000 joined International Flavors & Fragrances, working alongside Carlos Benaïm, Sophia Grojsman, and Pierre Wargnye. His creations include Ralph Lauren Polo Blue, Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce, and Tom Ford Amber Absolute; he is also founder and president of the non-profit Academy of Perfumery and Aromatics, and in 2019 was named Chief Perfumer to BélAir Lab in Tokyo.
