David Chieze, born and raised in France, studied chemistry before training as a perfumer, starting at L'Artisan Parfumeur's boutique, where after hours he practiced reconstructing classic accords.
He was discovered and mentored for a year by Bertrand Duchaufour, who introduced him to Mark Buxton; the two now create fragrances together at LUZI's Paris office, with work for Electimuss, Kajal, and Thomas de Monaco, and an Art and Olfaction Award nomination for Anti Anti.
