Before perfumery, Gérald Ghislain trained as a restaurateur and hotelier, and it shows in his approach: raised between the south of France and Morocco, he studied at ISIPCA in Versailles and founded Histoires de Parfums in 2000 with a self-consciously anti-mainstream brief.
