Josh Meyer is an American perfumer who developed refined tastes early in life around whiskey, literature, cuisine, and music before deciding in 2010 to pursue perfumery.
In 2012 he founded Imaginary Authors, based in Portland, Oregon, built on the idea of scent as art and each fragrance carrying a layered narrative inspired by fictional works and their authors. Creations such as Memoirs of a Trespasser, Cape Heartache, and Yesterday Haze reflect his aim to transport wearers to other worlds, much like a good book.
