
Michael Carby
Michael R. Carby, born in the UK with Jamaican heritage, studied biology and chemistry planning to save for medical school before falling into fragrance instead. He joined the industry in 1993 as an analytical chemist at KATO Worldwide, later becoming a perfumer at Givaudan, and created Bath & Body Works favorites including Cactus Blossom, Sun Washed Citrus, and Eucalyptus Rain, drawing inspiration from a childhood visit to the Jamaican rainforest.
