Spyros Drosopoulos

Spyros Drosopoulos, born in the Netherlands, raised in Greece, and educated in Germany, holds a doctorate in neuroscience and taught at the University of Amsterdam before an introductory perfume-making class in 2009 changed his direction. A largely self-taught perfumer, he became independent in 2012 and founded the genderless fragrance house Baruti in 2015, writing every formula himself from labs in Athens and the Netherlands, and teaches at the Institute for Art and Olfaction in Los Angeles.
