Sven Pritzkoleit studied pharmacy, finishing in 1995, after being drawn to fragrance by the novel Das Parfum and a 1991 visit to Grasse.
While working 18 years as a pharmacist, he taught himself perfumery, creating his first formula, Pink Patchouli, in 2006, with encouragement from Dr. Philip Kraft (Givaudan) and Egon Oelkers (Symrise). He has since created 29 perfumes under his own brand, SP Parfums, and collaborated with Zoologist on Hyrax (2018) and Cockatiel (2022).
