Sy Truong

Sy Truong is a Vietnamese independent perfumer and founder of Sylhouette Parfums. Born and raised in Vietnam, he discovered his calling at 15 when a bottle of Alien by Thierry Mugler, given to him by his father, awakened his passion for perfume. Without access to perfumery schools or quality raw materials at home, he became self-taught, importing materials from France and the US and beginning formal self-study in 2018. His debut fragrance, Molotov Cocktail (2023), was conceived as an artistic response to the war in Ukraine. He has since won an Art & Olfaction Award and serves as perfumer of record for TOOUCH perfumes.
