Zernell Gillie

Zernell Gillie is a Los Angeles-based DJ, record label founder, and perfumer originally from Chicago's west side, where house music sustained him through the gang and crack era of the 1980s. Alongside a career in music — launching a record label and clothing line and co-founding a record fair and event series — he created a niche fragrance line inspired by iconic music genres, beginning with the extrait de parfums Disco and Techno. He combined his passions for music and scent into Zernell Gillie Fragrances when the COVID-19 pandemic halted his DJ touring, producing luxurious, vegan, cruelty-free fragrances since 2022.
