Perfumer

Josh Lobb

A self-taught nose based in Portland, Oregon, Josh Lobb built Slumberhouse out of an informal artists' collective — friends handling visual art and design while he focused on scent — before it grew from one-off Etsy listings into its own house. Despite Slumberhouse's reputation for intense, natural-leaning compositions, Lobb resists being labeled a naturals-only perfumer, reaching for synthetic or natural materials alike whenever they serve the idea.
