Norne Oil by Slumberhouse, launched in 2021 and crafted by perfumer Josh Lobb, is a composition that blends aromatic freshness with earthy depth. The fragrance opens with a vibrant green and fresh spicy accord, evoking the crispness of early morning air after a light rain. As it settles into its woody and mossy base notes, Norne Oil develops an enveloping warmth, reminiscent of walking through a forest floor covered in damp leaves and moss. Norne Oil develops its full character over time, so a light application in the morning allows it to evolve throughout the day. A self-taught nose based in Portland, Oregon, Josh Lobb built Slumberhouse out of an informal artists' collective — friends handling visual art and design while he focused on scent — before it grew from one-off Etsy listings into its own house.
