Launched in 2006 by Profumum Roma, Acqua Viva is a Woody Aromatic fragrance that captures the essence of fresh, invigorating air and subtle woodsy notes. Perfumed by Felice Durante, Luciano Durante, and Maria Durante, it opens with bright citrus and aromatic herbs before settling into a warm woody base with hints of yellow florals. Felice Durante is one of four siblings — with Giuseppe, Luciano, and Maria — who co-founded Profumum Roma in 1996, descendants of grandfather Celestino Durante, who returned to Rome after World War II and built a career in perfumery there. Dissatisfied with the increasingly restrictive, synthetic direction of commercial perfumery in the early 1990s, the siblings launched their own house specializing in high-concentration extraits evoking the city of Rome.
