Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Crimson Santal by Ajmal was launched in 2025 as a Woody Chypre fragrance for both women and men, embodying the brand’s mastery of perfume making. The composition opens with a fresh burst of bergamot and neroli, combined with sea salt to create an ozonic and salty freshness. This contrast is further enhanced by the green notes of violet leaf and blue sage, which add a subtle spiciness. As the fragrance evolves, sandalwood and vetiver ground it with their woody warmth, while leather and amber lend a smoky depth that makes Crimson Santal feel both modern and lasting.
Crimson Santal has a strong opening that fades into its base notes over time. One or two sprays is sufficient as the ozonic and salty top notes are quite prominent at first but give way to the deeper, warmer woods and leather within an hour.
