Launched in 2019 by Lorenzo Pazzaglia, Black Sea is a unisex fragrance that captures the essence of an expansive ocean landscape. The composition opens with salty and ozonic notes, evoking the bracing freshness of sea spray and misty breezes off the water. This marine opening leads into a heart of myrtle, bergamot, and ylang-ylang, which add layers of aromatic greenness and floral warmth. As it settles, Black Sea reveals an intriguing base of ambergris, white musk, oakmoss, and patchouli — notes that create an animalic and earthy depth, grounding the aquatic elements.

Lorenzo Pazzaglia grew up in Cagli on Italy's Adriatic coast, where his family ran a restaurant, and began creating scents as an amateur inspired by his father's kitchen. He founded PAX s.r.l. in 2021 and released his first fragrances under the PAX by Lorenzo Pazzaglia brand, later named 'Rising Star Perfumer 2024' at the ScentXplore Awards.
