Who Wears It
The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2014 by Bond No 9, New York Sandalwood is an Oriental Woody fragrance that captures the essence of the city's warm and earthy character. The composition opens with orris and carrot, providing a fresh yet slightly powdery introduction. This gives way to cardamom and sandalwood, creating a warm spicy heart that feels both familiar and comforting. As it settles, fig and papyrus offer a soft fruity contrast, while amber and musk envelop the scent in a rich, musky base. Oakmoss adds an earthy depth, rounding out a fragrance that is as complex as the city itself.
Apply one or two sprays to your pulse points; this fragrance blooms gradually over time. The powdery notes are most noticeable close to skin, so layer it lightly for a warm, intimate presence throughout the day.
