Top notes are Ginger, Cardamom, Pepper, Sicilian Citruses and Night Blooming Jasmine; middle notes are Bulgarian Rose, Opoponax, Styrax, Osmanthus and Wild Strawberry; base notes are Patchouli, Spanish Labdanum, Earthy Notes, Oakmoss, Hyrax and Oak. First created in 1938 by Paul Vacher, the perfume was recreated by Rodrigo Flores-Roux (Givaudan), who have known the perfume from his young years.

Rodrigo Flores-Roux, born and raised in Mexico City, studied biology before moving to France at 20 in 1989 to attend ISIPCA in Versailles, interning along the way with Jean-Claude Ellena. After early work designing scents for shampoos and cosmetics, his breakthrough came with Clinique Happy; he now serves as Senior Perfumer and Vice President of Fragrance Creation at Givaudan. His work for Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, Carolina Herrera, and Estée Lauder has earned him numerous FiFi Awards and induction into the Fragrance Foundation Hall of Fame.
