Launched in 2008 by Chanel and crafted by perfumer Jacques Polge, N°5 Eau Premiere is a deliberate modernization of the iconic Chanel No. 5. This fragrance softens or removes some of the heavy elements of the original, such as oakmoss and patchouli, to create a lighter, more contemporary version aimed at younger or more casual wearers. The aldehydic-floral DNA of No. 5 remains recognizable, but N°5 Eau Premiere is designed to be more 'wearable' day-to-day than the original extrait/EDT.
