The story behind the bottle.
Launched in 2008 by Chanel and crafted by Jacques Polge, Les Exclusifs de Chanel Sycomore is a woody chypre that defies the conventions of gendered perfumery. The composition opens with fresh spicy notes, followed by earthy and aromatic accords that give way to a warm tobacco base. This fragrance captures the essence of understated elegance, blending crisp freshness with rich, comforting warmth. Sycomore is not just a scent; it's an invitation to experience the depth and complexity of woody aromatics.
Given its moderate longevity and sillage, this fragrance is best applied in moderation. Two sprays to the pulse points will allow the aromatic and woody accords to develop naturally throughout the day without overpowering. It’s particularly well-suited for cooler weather when the warmth of the tobacco base can be fully appreciated.
