Launched in 2012 by Chanel and crafted by Jacques Polge, Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme is an aromatic woody scent that quickly established itself as a benchmark for men's fragrances. The composition opens with the invigorating freshness of mandarin orange and mint, contrasting sharply against the warmth of tonka bean and cedarwood in the base. This fragrance has been widely imitated by budget alternatives, a proof of its staying power among discerning noses.
This fragrance has a strong projection that fades from its minty top notes into a warm woody base. Apply one or two sprays in the morning to capture both aspects throughout the day. The mandarin and mint are most prominent during the first hour, so wait before layering with another scent.
