Launched in 1984, Coco Eau de Parfum by Chanel is Jacques Polge's first major feminine creation for the house following Gabrielle Chanel’s death. Inspired by the opulent baroque décor of her Paris apartment, this fragrance blends rich amber and warm spices with sweet florals and powdery woods. It became emblematic of the 1980s power-dressing luxury, often cited as a scent synonymous with the excess and glamour of that era. The composition opens with Bulgarian rose and coriander before settling into a heart of jasmine and orange blossom, anchored by sandalwood, opoponax, and vanilla.
