In 2014, François Demachy of Dior introduced Cuir Cannage, a fragrance that marries leather's rugged warmth with the delicate sophistication of white florals and powdery notes. The composition opens with bright citrus from bergamot and orange blossom, cutting through the smoky, animalic undertones of tobacco and cade oil. As it settles into its heart, iris and violet soften the edges, while ylang-ylang and jasmine add a touch of floral warmth. The base is anchored by leather, birch, and juniper, creating an olfactory experience that feels both luxurious and intimate.

Application Tips
Apply Cuir Cannage lightly — its smoky and leather notes project strongly. It blooms gradually over time, so allow it to settle before layering again. Best worn during cooler evenings when the warmth of its base notes can be fully appreciated.
