Launched in 2016 by Goldfield & Banks Australia, Desert Rosewood was crafted by François Merle-Baudoin to capture the essence of Australia's rugged landscapes and rich botanicals. François Merle-Baudoin, born in Grasse, is a fifth-generation perfumer whose grandfather founded the fragrance Anaïs Anaïs. He began working in his family's laboratory at age twelve and trained formally at Roure's fragrance school in Grasse, later working across France, Singapore, and Australia over a 25-year career. His creations include Pacific Rock Moss for Goldfield & Banks (with Carine Certain Boin) and Sahraa for Fragrance Du Bois.
