Launched in 1994 by Dior, Dolce Vita was created by Pierre Bourdon, who had long dreamed of making a fragrance for the house since his father worked there. This Oriental Woody scent rides on the gourmand wave sparked by Mugler's Angel (1992), blending warm spiciness with woody and powdery notes. The composition opens with citrusy freshness from grapefruit, bergamot, and lily, before transitioning into a heart of rose, cardamom, and cinnamon. It settles into a rich base of vanilla, sandalwood, cedar, and coconut, creating an indulgent warmth that feels both comforting and luxurious.
